5th World Tourism Day Run 2025 Draws Nearly a Thousand Runners in Celebration of Tourism and Sustainability

The Bohol Provincial Tourism Office, in collaboration with the Bohol Adventure and Fitness Team (BAFT), successfully held the 5th World Tourism Day Run on September 27, 2025, gathering a total of 965 registered runners for a morning of fitness, camaraderie, and tourism advocacy.

Anchored on the global theme β€œπ‘»π’π’–π’“π’Šπ’”π’Ž 𝒂𝒏𝒅 π‘Ίπ’–π’”π’•π’‚π’Šπ’π’‚π’ƒπ’π’† π‘»π’“π’‚π’π’”π’‡π’π’“π’Žπ’‚π’•π’Šπ’π’,” this year’s celebration underscored the importance of sustainable tourism practices and the active role of communities in shaping a more inclusive and responsible tourism industry.

Runners participated across three race categories β€” 5K, 10K, and 21K β€”, attracting both casual and competitive participants from within and outside the province. The event continues to grow each year, with the rising number of runners reflecting the public’s growing support for tourism-driven wellness activities.
