Bohol Showcases Blue Economy Initiatives at The Maritime League Beacon Expo 2025
The Province of Bohol, through the Bohol Provincial Tourism Office, took part for the first time in The Maritime League Beacon (Blue Economy Annual Trade and Conference) Expo 2025, held from September 29 to October 1, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center, Manila.
With the theme “Protecting the Ocean: A Catalyst for a Prospering Blue Economy,” the three-day event brought together maritime industry leaders, government agencies, and coastal stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and promote sustainable approaches to ocean and marine resource management.
Representing Bohol under the provincial booth were LGU Panglao, LGU Anda, Tubigon Raffia Gallery, Henry Transportation Services, JM Travel and Tour, and Southwest Tours, showcasing the province’s diverse tour packages that reflect Bohol’s commitment to responsible and sustainable coastal tourism. The participation generated over ₱560,000 in sales throughout the event, underscoring the strong market interest in Bohol’s tourism experiences.
Also joining separately were Anda Pearl Premiere Resort and Bugnaw Si-E Resort, further demonstrating the province’s growing private sector engagement in the blue economy and tourism development.
The Bohol Provincial Tourism Office extends its appreciation to all exhibitors and partners who represented the province in this milestone participation. As Bohol continues to join national and international trade expositions, it reaffirms its dedication to advancing a blue economy that supports both marine protection and community prosperity.
