The 3rd World Tourism Day Fun Run in Bohol, organized by the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) in collaboration with the Bohol Provincial Tourism Office and Bohol Adventures and Fitness Team (BAFT), took place on September 30, 2023. The event was held in celebration of the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s theme, “Tourism and Green Investment.“
The run featured two distances: 5km and 10km, starting at 4:00 AM from Plaza Rizal, Tagbilaran City, Bohol. The initiative aimed to capitalize on the growing awareness of wellness in Bohol, with a focus on encouraging and sustaining healthy lifestyles. By promoting fitness tourism, the event sought to inspire Boholanos to uphold their commitment to health and active routines, fostering camaraderie through sports participation and friendly competition
