Corella

Corella is an interior town northeast of Tagbilaran. It is said to be formerly called Nug-as. This municipality used to belong to the municipality of Baclayon, being a barrio of that town. When it was organized as a regular municipality in 1884, it was named Corella. Corella is known primarily as the home of the endemic Philippine Tarsier, the world’s smallest primate.
